Recently, I’ve found a very interesting technique that showed an accurate picture of how little time I have left and how much I want to achieve in 2021. The technique will help you to set goals for yourself.
Unfortunately, we do not always see the whole picture of our future, so such the mindfulness trick was created. Goals are divided into short, medium, and long term that is extremely useful.
After finishing it, you’ll have a whole and clear picture of your professional and personal goals.
Take a pen and a piece of paper. Divide the sheet into 2 columns. On the right side will be your professional goals, and on the left – your personal goals. Then do 5 rows on the page.
1 row – goals for 5 years
2 rows – goals for 4 months
3 rows – goals for 3 weeks
4 rows – goals for 2 days
5 rows – goals for 1 hour.
Think a little about your goals and fill in the table.
Here is an example:
The main thing in this technique is to learn how to define your long-term and short-term goals.
In addition, you can try the following easy exercise. Make 3 columns:
The first column – What I do now?
The second column – What I need to do?
The third column – What I want to do?
Look at the example below:
Focus your attention not only on the second column but also on the third if you have tasks there that you can define as your long-term goals.
